AN HO
An Ho, or Meaptopia, is a visual storyteller from Hanoi, Vietnam, currently residing in Boston, USA. She explores the beauty in everyday life through illustration, printmaking, and design. An sees the world through the lens of patterns and constantly finds evidence of repetition in the seemingly mundane. Vietnamese tradition, pop culture, and lots of cats are the ultimate source of her inspiration.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Tet Walk fuses Vietnamese culture and haute cuisine. The kitchen becomes a runway backstage as Tet preparations begin. Parents are the designers, food the models. Pork is wrapped in banh chung, chicken is paired with xoi gac, beef is topped with gio bo. Each slice of carrot is a meticulous craft. Traditional dishes are elevated to edible art, the table a feast for the eyes and palate. Tet Walk celebrates the artistry of Vietnamese cuisine through a playful fashion lens. Tet Walk is designed as a perforated booklet in which each page can be removed and used as a postcard. A list of ingredients is written on the back of the postcard corresponding to each dish. This mimics the act of sharing and caring - values that are strongly emphasized during the Tet holiday.
