TENNESSEE NUNEZ

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I quarantined at my family’s home for a couple months during the onset of COVID-19 and found this park nearby, aggressively roped off and tied up. I wanted to capture the stark contrast of childhood innocence and death, and shot it on expired film to reinforce that essence of death in the images. This series is a reflection on the impact COVID has had on our human nature, and the way we view even the simplest of objects.
