ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am interested in archival processes, and the ways in which inherited objects, practices, and stories can be re-interpreted and remembered. These works stitch and bind materiality and abstracted natural forms via ceramic and paper. I am hoping to create a narrative which re-interprets the traditional uses (technologies) of stitching, ceramic, painting, and bookbinding in order to preserve these personal archives.
