ARTIST STATEMENT:
Neptune is a Virtual Idol and Joshua Keeney’s alter ego. Neptune is the amalgamation of Joshua’s lived experience, aspiration, and intangible feelings. Born from rage and desire for change, Neptune exists as a conduit to harbor and redirect frustration into beauty. She is a model, a DJ, a dancer, and a personality of her own.
Joshua Keeney is a visual artist working in computer graphics. Based in Washington State. Joshua's work focuses on themes of identity and references to popular culture and media. The focal of Joshua’s work is the digital avatar, Neptune. Through Neptune, Joshua creates CG visuals inspired by the pioneering artists who have come before him and creates works of love celebrating identity.
