ARTIST STATEMENT:
The video extracts a visual vocabulary from a bygone era of Nintendo 64 games, once strange and evocative, now nostalgic and misremembered. My failed memory of those worlds creates a new one, ugly and violent, tactile and fuzzy. In creating this piece, I wanted to render something familiar and personal but also bizarre and uninhibited.
